Patients' Stories

One of the wonderful things about working with animals is the letters (and photos!) we get from owners whose pets have been inpatients here.  If your pet has been in making friends with the nurses, causing havoc, or just quietly getting better, we'd love to hear from you.

For 2009-10 we have voted our first cat as Patient of the Year.  The Award went to three-year-old tabby cat Halloran Marlowe, who has had a long convalesence involving several operations and many hundreds of stitches to close a nasty wound on his back.  His story is coming soon.

Scout is Border Collie who was diagosed with epilepsy at nine months old.  Read her story here.

Our 2008-9 Patient of the Year Award went to nine-month-old cocker spaniel Beau Penfold, who had major heart surgery at Burnham House.  Read his story here.

Our 2007-8 Patient of the Year award went to diabetic Sneezer Anderson.  Read Sneezer's story here.

Our 2006-7 Patient of the Year was Ella House, a red setter who was a model inpatient following facial surgery.

Retriever Cabus was our 2005-6 Patient of the Year and is still going strong on his chemotherapy four years later.  Read Cabus' story here.
