Nurses' Clinics
Head Nurse Leasa Neame runs our Nurses' Clinics. These run daily between 2 and 4pm - please contact the surgery to make an appointment to see Leasa or one of her nursing team.
Weight Clinics
Is your pet more spherical than dog- or cat-shaped? The first stage of a weight loss plan for pets is a full consultation and health check with a Vet, when a target weight will be set. After that, our nurses will help you with a full feeding and exercise regime and support all the way.
Dental Clinics
Dental problems and the associated bad breath don't need to lose your pet friends in the park. Tooth and gum disease is common and our nurses can show you the best way to care for your pet's teeth - prevention is definately better than cure.
Diabetic Clinics
A diagnosis of diabetes is a worrying time for owners. Help is available at every stage - from support during stabilisation, to injection practice and advice on diets.
Middle-aged Pet Clinics
Once a pet reaches middle age he or she may start to need special care. We provide full health screening services for pets of 'a certain age' including blood and urine testing, blood pressure measurement and ECG; and advice on the best way to look after your pet during this time.
Physiotherapy and Magnetic Resonance Therapy
At Burnham House we take referrals for orthopaedic and spinal surgery. Your vet will advise on a suitable rehabilitation programme which could include physiotherapy, magnetic resonance therapy (MRT), hydrotherapy or other supportive care. Head Nurse Leasa provides full aftercare for these cases and advice on how best to care for your pet at home following major surgery.
