Our main surgery in Castle Street
If you have visited us with your pet you will be familiar with our reception and consulting areas. However, our Castle Street branch is on four floors and a lot of the work we do goes on
behind the scenes.
DiagnosticsRadiography: Dedicated x-ray theatre, mobile x-ray machine, dental x-ray machine, dark room for automatic and manual x-ray processing.
Ultrasound: Colour flow Doppler ultrasound
Endoscopy: Two flexible endoscopes including biopsy channels, plus rigid endoscope, and bronchoscopes
Laboratory: In-house biochemistry, haematology and electrolyte analysis, microbiology, cytology, urinalysis, faecal screening, microscopy
Cardiology: ECG and blood pressure measurement
Ophthalmology: Blackout consult room for ophthalmic examinations, tonometer, operating microscope
Surgery
Three operating suites:
Main theatre: Positive pressure ventilation, full anaesthetic monitoring, cryosurgery unit, diathermy, CO2 laser, operating microscope
Dental theatre: Dental xray machine, anaesthetic monitoring, ultrasonic Piezo descaler and polisher
X-ray theatre: Mobile x-ray unit, automatic processor, manual processor for small dental xrays
Other equipment
Other equipment available at the surgery currently includes Magnetic Resonance Therapy units for orthopedic rehabilitation which can be hired from the surgery
